No tricks. One price for clearing a drain. If we need a camera look to see what is in the line, it is included.
$265 is already a fair price for an honest drain cleaning, and second opinions are always free.

When drains start backing up or running slowly, it can throw your whole household off. At Desert Water Plumbing and Rooter, we offer a full range of drain cleaning services to keep your plumbing flowing the way it should.
We handle everything from routine drain maintenance to stubborn blockages that have been building up for months. Our licensed plumbers work on kitchen drains, bathroom sinks, showers, tubs, floor drains, and main sewer lines. No matter where the problem is, we have the tools and experience to address it.
Peoria homeowners deal with unique challenges when it comes to drain health. Hard water is common throughout the Valley, and the mineral deposits it leaves behind can narrow pipes over time and worsen clogs. We understand how local water conditions affect your plumbing, and we factor that into every service we provide.

Hydrojetting clears grease and buildup with high-pressure water. The price moves with demand and with machine repairs, so we tell you the number before we start.
Most sewer repairs need a camera look first. Anything more than a tiny repair gets a written bid after that look. If another company has already bid your job, we give a free second opinion. We started as a construction company, so real construction crews do the dig jobs. We also work with lining partners who offer a 15-year transferable warranty. When a line has to be dug up, the price depends on how deep and how long the dig is, what’s on top of it (concrete, pavers, landscaping) and putting it back. We use licensed excavation and landscape crews who carry insurance and workers’ comp, which costs more than a guy with a shovel but protects your home. Every dig job gets a written bid after the camera look. More on sewer line repair.
Smoke test, $585 to $895. A smoke test finds broken pipes in your walls that cause leaks and bad smells. We do these by appointment only, but the need can be spotted on any drain call or camera inspection. Our best plumbers do these, and we offer repairs on site for quick relief.
Sump pump service and repair. We test, repair and replace sump pumps so the water goes where it should, before it gets into the house.
Grinder pumps and lift stations. If your home or building pumps sewage uphill to the main line, we service, repair and replace grinder pumps and lift stations.
We look first and give you the price before any work starts.
Some drain problems are obvious, but others show up in ways that are easy to brush off. Here are some signs it is time to call a professional:
If you are noticing any of these, do not wait for things to get worse. A small clog can turn into a larger plumbing issue if left alone.
Understanding what causes clogs can help you avoid them, but sometimes they occur despite your best efforts. In Peoria, hard water is one of the biggest contributors. The high mineral content of Arizona water leaves behind calcium and magnesium buildup in pipes, narrowing the passage for water and debris over time.
In kitchens, grease, food particles, and soap residue are the most common culprits. These materials stick to pipe walls and slowly restrict flow until water has nowhere to go. In bathrooms, hair and soap scum are usually to blame.
Tree roots are another issue that Peoria homeowners sometimes face. Even in a desert climate, the roots of trees and shrubs will seek out moisture, and sewer lines can become a target. Root intrusion can cause serious blockages and even damage pipes if left unchecked.
We start every drain cleaning job by figuring out exactly what we are dealing with. A quick assessment helps us choose the right approach and avoid making the problem worse. From there, the method we use depends on the location and severity of the clog.
For most everyday blockages, we use professional-grade drain snaking to break up and remove the obstruction. For tougher buildup or larger pipes, we turn to hydro jetting, which uses high-pressure water to scour the inside of the pipe clean. Hydro jetting is especially effective against the kind of mineral scale that builds up in homes with hard water.
When the issue is harder to pinpoint, we use video camera inspection to get a clear look inside the line. This lets us find blockages, root intrusion, or pipe damage without any unnecessary guesswork. See also drain pipe repair and emergency plumbing.
Drain emergencies do not follow a schedule. When a drain backs up at an inconvenient time, you need someone who can respond quickly without cutting corners. We show up prepared to work and give you honest information about what is going on before we do anything.
Phones answered 24/7, including weekends. Plumbers out Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 7 PM, Saturdays at no extra charge. Closed Sundays. Emergency service on Sundays for systems we installed.
We are a family-owned business that has been serving the Peoria area since 2009.
Most homes benefit from a professional drain cleaning once a year. If you have hard water or older pipes, more frequent service may help prevent buildup.
Yes, when performed by a trained plumber. We assess your pipe material and condition before recommending hydro jetting to make sure it is the right fit.
Recurring clogs usually point to a deeper issue, such as buildup, a partial blockage, or a pipe problem. A camera inspection can help identify the root cause.
It can. Peoria’s water has a high mineral content, and over time, that mineral scale builds up inside pipes, increasing the likelihood of clogs. Regular cleaning helps manage it.
We do our best to accommodate same-day requests. Give us a call, and we will let you know our availability right away.

$265 to $365 for most standard faucets, quoted by phone. Fancy or cut-out faucets get a written bid, because the work changes. A cluttered or dirty work area adds time, and we say so up front.

Most standard shower and tub cartridges replaced by a professional run $385 to $685, usually somewhere in the middle. We quote on site because the valve, the brand and what’s behind the wall change the job. If the cartridge can’t be fixed, we can usually put in a new valve with standard trim for $785 to $1,250. Fancier trim is available, but it’s hard to quote online. We keep the common Delta, Moen and Pfister cartridges on our trucks and in our warehouse. Part of the price is being ready for the call and having the right parts on the truck when it matters most. We can special order just about anything fancy. If it isn’t one of those, expect a bid for the follow-up visit. Same-day isn’t realistic without a lot of driving around and extra cost, and that’s negotiable on site. We work on Delta 1300, 1400 and 1700 series valves, Moen 1222 and 1255 cartridges, Pfister Avante, Kohler and Symmons, including thermostatic and volume-control valves.
